Food systems are the largest employer of youth, yet they do not provide adequate and sustainable livelihood opportunities. Current actions for a transformation of food systems will have long-lasting effects, not least for young people – their inclusion and leadership in the transformation is therefore vital. For this to happen, food systems need to provide enabling structures and possibilities for youth.

This event explores how a food systems transformation can become an opportunity for youth. The event will bring together youth from around the world that are engaged in different parts of the food systems. What are the challenges? What is needed to create sustainable livelihoods within food systems for future generations?
