Drawing on and contributing to ongoing policy processes in Nepal this expert group strengthens collaboration and raises awareness of the importance of small-scale farmers and agricultural biodiversity for achieving the 2030 Agenda, focusing in particular on nutrition and climate resilience.
The Expert Group Small-scale farmers and biodiversity in Nepal organised the topics, planned the syntheses, and invited the panels of the TV show on Krishi TV, aiming to increase understanding of the links between agrobiodiversity, nutrition and climate change.
The documentation of these culinary will enhance knowledge of traditional food recipes, increase the demand for local food plants, and strengthen the local food system. These videos highlight the importance of the recipes.
Local Initiatives for Biodiversity, Research and Development (LI-BIRD) in collaboration with Nepal Food Network and Alliance of Agriculture for Food - Sudurpashchim Province Chapter, jointly organized a provincial food system dialogue on 10 December 2021 in Dhangadhi, Nepal.
