Workshop: Philippines Academic-Government-Farmer-Agency Policy Dialogue

Achieving SDGs and the ASEAN Work-Plan on Education, 2016-2020, through strengthening Higher Education for Sustainable Agriculture (HESA) and food systems in Southeast Asia.

Workshop participants.

The aim of the 3 Aug 2017 workshop to be held at UP-Diliman in Manila, is to discuss how Philippine academics, farmer-scientists and others can contribute to the SDGs and AWPE. Speakers and resource people will be invited from ADB, AFA, ANGOC, APRN, APEAEN, APIRAS/GFRAS, CHED, DAR, DENR, FAO, IFAD, MASIPAG, PSSC, SEARCA, UPLB and more. The agenda will include discussion of potential multi-year research activities in cooperation with the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta and contributing to a multidisciplinary regional conference in Bangkok on “Greening Agri-food systems and Ensuring Rural Sustainability in ASEAN,” 23-26 January 2018. The workshop is FREE, but space is limited and pre-registration is required. Please contact the UPLB or CUSAR organizer below to confirm participation.
