ICIMOD: Webinar on Pastoral Practices, Rangeland Biodiversity, and Ecosystem Services

Pastoralists of Marsabit, rural Kenya. Feb 2018

Rangelands make up 60% of the Hindu Kush Himalaya (HKH) and are vital for the livelihoods of 25–30 million indigenous people. As we approach the International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralism (IYRP) 2026, it is crucial to understand the importance of indigenous management in sustaining biodiversity and ecosystem services.

IYRP monthly theme for May is Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services, to explore these themes, we are organising a webinar on Pastoral Practices, Rangeland Biodiversity, and Ecosystem Services
