This final workshop Report summarizes main results of the ASEAN Technical Meeting and Multi-Stakeholder Policy Dialogue December 6-7, 2017. However, the report is UNOFFICIAL and does NOT represent the views of the ASEAN Secretariat or any ASEAN Member State.
As it currently stands, the mainstream model of agriculture undermines the agri-food system and its resources and there is a need for a movement towards one direction for sustainable production and consumption.
One of the key questions for the workshop was the role of universities and whether their actions and curriculums are contributing to or exacerbating the problem by how they deal with issues agriculture education, training and research.
