SIANI Annual Meeting 2024

We invite our members and friends to interact with each other and provide input for the SIANI work plan for the year ahead.

It’s time to meet again! We are excited to inform you about an upcoming SIANI Annual Meeting 2024 on the 31st  of January, 10-15 (CET) (serving coffee from 09.15 for travellers and mingles )

The upcoming meeting will focus on the impact of rapid urbanisation on food systems, particularly in urban, peri-urban, and  in rural areas. This is a critical issue as it carries significant implications for food systems’ management, evolution, and performance. Addressing urban food issues is an essential aspect of an integrated urban-rural development agenda, as it contributes to multiple outcomes crucial for meeting our growing population’s needs.

In 2023, SIANI started the new program phase, hence the SIANI secretariat is now excited to invite you to a conversation contributing to shaping the dialogue around  urban and rural food systems. In times of recurring crises how can we transform our food systems into resilient and inclusive? And how can SIANI as a network come together and contribute?

The annual meeting is an opportunity to connect, network, share ideas and exchange experiences to forward the discussions on how we together with knowledge and action collaborate towards rights based and sustainable food systems in urban, peri-urban, and rural areas.

We look forward to meeting you again in person, reconnecting with others, taking on new challenges, and building the next chapter of SIANI.
