The United Nations declared 2023 the International Year of Millets (IYM 2023), and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) is the lead agency for celebrating the Year in collaboration with other relevant stakeholders. IYM 2023 aims at raising awareness of, and direct policy attention to, the socio-cultural, nutritional and environmental benefits of millet cultivation.
