Annual Meeting 2014 Report: How Are We Going to Network in the New Phase?

Over 60 people connected to food security, agriculture and sustainable development gathered in Stockholm on the 21st of January for SIANI Annual Meeting.  The event marked the beginning of the next phase in the network development and was organized to gather opinion of the public on the future of the SIANI development.

SIANI is a multi-sector network, and representatives from private, public and academia brought their insights on the connection to our work. You can find out more and watch videos of the presentations on our website. The main focus of the meeting was on the dialogues with the participants which was achieved through Round Table Dialogues, during which we discussed what should we do to make our collaborative action more effective and what topics should be highlighted most in the following three years of our work.

Basing on this information, we have produced a report in which you can find out about key strategic actions and topics pointed out by the participants of the meeting. The most important points can also be found in the infographics in the end of the report. You can also find out about the mechanisms of SIANI’s operation and learn about our Themes and Expert Groups.

We hope that this report will create a shared understanding of the future development strategy and content of our communication throughout our network. Feel free to contact SIANI secretariat if you think that there is something else that needs to be included. We at SIANI highly appreciate your feedback and strive for action that reflects the views of our members!

Thank you!
