The 2013 Thought For Food Challenge

The 2013 Thought For Food Challenge calls on students from universities around the world to form teams and produce a robust project proposal – consisting of a business plan and creative pitch – that presents an unexpected and out-of-the-box solution to the global challenge of feeding 9 billion people by 2050.

Through a sequence of fast-paced Missions — divided across two rounds — teams are provided with first-rate tools and resources to research and understand global food issues, brainstorm solutions, produce and publish their proposals and compete to win funding to execute on their big ideas.

Thought For Food is a movement dedicated to tackling the global challenge of feeding 9 billion people through bold, breakthrough solutions. The movement is comprised of some of the best and brightest minds of the next generation, driven by a desire to invigorate innovation and uproot the status quo. TFF run an annual competition to catalyze university students from all fields of study to learn more about the complex challenges surrounding food security, and inspire them to channel their passions and creativity towards developing new ideas that make a difference. Most importantly, Thought For Food is a one-of-a-kind community of friends, a network that students can count on to support them in their efforts to make the world a better place.
