Nature Based Solutions to achieve Human-Wildlife Coexistence

This webinar with speaker Ignas Heitkönig from Wageningen University & Research (WUR) will provide examples of how nature-based solutions can reduce conflict and promote co-existence of humans and animals. Furthermore the possibilities to join the Nature Based Solutions Challenge 2022 by WUR and partners will be explained.

Humans and wildlife are often at odds, leading to conflicts with dire consequences. Yet, initiatives from around the world show that nature itself may provide options to reduce conflict and promote coexistence. This webinar provides examples, serving as a source of inspiration for the design of nature-based solutions.

Speaker

Ignas Heitkönig is assistant professor at Wageningen University. He has a passion to make young people enthusiastic about nature conservation, via research, teaching, and events via the Future For Nature Academy, which he founded.
