The event will spotlight experiences of various actors operating along agricultural supply chains. Globalized supply chains have a lot of benefits, but they also harbour social injustice and outsource environmental impact to the places of production. The discussion during this multi-stakeholder dialogue will attempt to get to the roots of these problems and explore the solutions. The event will kick off with short entries from the Swedish Government, Sida, the Private Sector and representatives from farmer and indigenous groups and will be followed by a dialogue with the public.

Panellists are:

Mia Crawford, Swedish Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation, Negotiator from Sweden at COP21 on global forest policy and climate change;

Bernard Giraud, Senior Sustainability Advisor, Danone;

Carlos Eugenio Vargas, representative from Copetrabansur, a banana producer organization in Costa Rica;

Moderator: Torsten Krause, Lund University Center for Sustainability Studies, LUCSUS;
