Join this webinar for the launch of a new report on The Status of Youth in Agrifood Systems by the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO). The report provides comprehensive evidence on how youth engage with, benefit from, and contribute to agrifood systems on a global scale. It analyses how transforming these systems can create decent job opportunities and enhance food security for youth, and how empowered youth can act as catalysts for broader agrifood systems transformation and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
At the event, youth representatives, policymakers, development actors and others will share insights from their own work on empowering youth in agrifood systems. The event will take place in English, with simultaneous interpretation available in Arabic, Spanish, French, Russian, Chinese and international sign language.
This event aims to present the report and emphasise its relevance for policymakers, youth
organisations, development actors, research and financial institutions, and the private sector.
Co-developed with youth champions actively engaged in agrifood systems, the event ensures
their voices are at the centre of its planning and execution. The launch will increase the global
impact of the report’s findings and catalyse action through meaningful youth participation.
