The Indicators for Sustainable Bioeconomy: Towards Building a Monitoring and Assessment Framework report is a publication and accompanying database that offers metrics and indicators to guide inclusive, sustainable bioeconomy aligned with the 2030 Agenda and global governance principles.
The publication had been developed by the FAO Office of Climate Change, Biodiversity and Environment, in collaboration with the Center for International Forestry Research and World Agroforestry (CIFOR-ICRAF). This report is also the result of a collective, participatory effort, drawing on expertise from members of the Forests, Trees and Agroforestry Partnership (FTAP), including its partners Focali and SIANI, focal points of the FAO Programme Priority Area on Bioeconomy (PPA BE2), and the FAO-led International Sustainable Bioeconomy Working Group. Together, these contributions have produced a globally relevant resource that supports evidence-based policy and decision-making and advances the transition from ambition to implementation in sustainable bioeconomy development.
