Meet SIANI at Järvaveckan (the Järva Week) in Stockholm! On 31 May, we will host a seminar together with Sida about tomorrow’s food challenges, “Är det du som fixar framtidens mat?” Join us to learn more about how young people across the world are developing new and innovative approaches to food production and consumption.
Järvaveckan is a yearly event in Stockholm, designed as a meeting place to bridge the gap between citizens, politicians, civil society, business leaders, and governing bodies. This year it takes place between 29 May and 1 June, with the theme “Tomorrow’s Sweden/ Morgondagens Sverige”.
SIANI and Sida will take this opportunity to raise important questions about the food of tomorrow – in Sweden and around the world. Food is already a critical issue and will likely become even more so in the future. In this seminar you will learn about how young people in different parts of the world are rising to the challenge, with innovative solutions for more sustainable production and consumption. We want to show how young entrepreneurs can make a difference at the both the local and global level, and raise awareness of the synergies between local development, trade and Sweden’s international development cooperation.

Mat är en viktig fråga idag, men kanske ännu viktigare i framtiden. Unga världen över engagerar sig för hållbara lösningar gällande produktion och konsumtion av mat. Möt innovativa människor från världens olika hörn som arbetar med ungt, hållbart och ansvarsfullt entreprenörskap. Med det här seminariet vill Sida och SIANI skapa förståelse för ungas roll och betydelse att engagera sig och hitta innovativa lösningar för livsmedelsförsörjning på lokal och global nivå, samt öka engagemanget för synergier mellan lokal utveckling, handel och bistånd inom svenskt utvecklingssamarbete.
