Communications Coordinator at SIANI
Linda is the interim project coordinator for Focali (Forest, climate and livelihood research network) and involved in the SIANI/Focali theme collaboration on “Forests, landscapes and food security”. Linda holds a BSc in Biology and an MSc in Environmental Science from University of Gothenburg. Her main areas of interest lies within effects of land use changes on carbon storage and livelihood, in forest landscapes as well as agricultural landscapes. For her BSc thesis she investigated differences in fine-root carbon storage between primary and secondary montane tropical rainforests in Rwanda, and for her MSc thesis she investigated impacts of converting pastures to large-scale biofuel plantations (eucalyptus) on socioeconomic factors, carbon storage and biodiversity in Colombia. Both performed for researchers within the Focali network. She has previous working experience from communication and project coordination within Swedish waste management with emphasis on waste reduction, as well as workshop-leading experience from the organization Friends of the Earth Sweden with focus on climate, food and land rights from an equity perspective.
