International One Health Conference and ISOHA Assembly

Fostering Global Collaboration for a Healthier Planet

This five-day conference, held in the vibrant city of Bangkok, Thailand, will comprise a two-day scientific program open to all participants, two days dedicated to the ISOHA Assembly exclusively for ISOHA members and students, and a final day featuring engaging tourist activities.

The conference will feature a diverse range of topics under the overarching theme of “International One Health in Action,” highlighting the integration of health, environment, and agriculture. Ecosystem restoration, sustainable agriculture, and strategies for addressing emerging infectious diseases will be explored. The impact of climate change on health and adaptation/mitigation strategies, youth engagement in global health, and the challenges of vaccine access are also key focal points. Sessions will delve into rabies elimination, antimicrobial resistance, and the leadership and empowerment of women in One Health. The conference will address sustainable aquaculture, the interconnectedness of biodiversity conservation and human health, and the integration of One Health into policies for sustainability. Discussions will extend to the economic aspects of One Health, emphasizing investments in global well-being. Water, sanitation, and hygiene strategies, air pollution’s impact on respiratory health, health promotion, urban planning, and health digitalization will be explored.

Additionally, the conference will hone in on Southeast Asia with dedicated topics such as emerging infectious diseases, vector-borne diseases, and the role of traditional medicine in the region. Balancing biodiversity conservation and health, understanding climate change’s health vulnerabilities, ensuring food security and safety, and engaging communities for health equity will be specific focuses. The unique challenges of water, sanitation, and health in Southeast Asia, addressing rural health disparities, and collaborative solutions for cross-border health challenges will be discussed, providing a regional perspective on One Health.
