As part of the International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists (IYRP) 2026 celebrations, FAO is launching a Call for Human‑Interest Stories to put the stewards of landscapes into the spotlight!
IYRP invites partners to identify and submit compelling stories of pastoralists, rangeland managers, community leaders, policy makers, small-scale producers, rural development officers, teachers, journalists, influencers or someone who works in the sustainable management of rangelands and pastoralist livelihoods, including women and youth, to showcase the importance of rangelands and pastoralism, as well as the challenges and innovations shaping their future.
Selected stories will be featured on the FAO IYRP 2026 website, shared across digital platforms, and used in global events and exhibitions throughout and beyond the International Year.
