SLU Global released a new report titled "Innovative Doctoral Education for Global Food Security 2013-2014. A Swedish Government Initiative". The programme with focus on higher eductation for food security in low-income countries has been a major effort that brought many possibilities for SLU.

The overall aim of the group is to examine how shortages of food and water lead to vulnerability to ill-health, abuse, and exploitation at the local level.

This Expert Group aims to initiate collaborative cross-disciplinary research to assess the state of HESA in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region and provide recommendation for its higher capacity and better quality.
