The ambition of the 2021 UN Food Systems Summit is to launch a collective journey of transforming our food systems to give us the best possible chance of delivering on the 2030 agenda. Everyone has a role to play in this. Only by coming together and challenging one another we can spark new ideas and create meaningful impact.
Action Track 1 (AT1) will work to end hunger and all forms of malnutrition and reduce the incidence of non-communicable disease, enabling all people to be nourished and healthy. This goal requires that all people at all times have access to sufficient quantities of affordable and safe food products. Achieving the goal means increasing the availability of nutritious food, making food more affordable and reducing inequities in access to food.
This Action Track has already identified game-changing ideas to transform food systems to achieve the goal of ensuring access to safe and nutritious food for all. This first Public Forum will be an opportunity for the public to participate, share inputs and ideas to help the Action Track canvas its current thinking on their game-changing ideas.
