6th Annual Agriculture, Nutrition and Health (ANH) Academy Week

The ANH Academy Week is a series of annual events that bring together the community of researchers, practitioners and policymakers working at the intersection of agriculture, food systems, nutrition and health. The objective of the ANH Academy Week is to foster knowledge exchange, innovation and learning around interdisciplinary ANH research.

The ANH Academy Week consists of two interlinked components:

  1. Learning Labs – a series of training sessions in interdisciplinary agriculture, nutrition and health research;
  2. Research Conference – an abstract-driven symposium featuring oral presentations, poster sessions and keynote speeches, as well as plenary round tables, side events and working group discussions.

The ANH Academy builds on the successful legacy of five agri-health research conferences organised by the London Centre for Integrative Research on Agriculture and Health (LCIRAH), as well as ongoing events and activities coordinated under the CGIAR Research Program on Agriculture for Nutrition and Health (A4NH), which is led by the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI).

Co-hosting with Pakistan

Given the challenges presented by COVID-19, ANH Academy Week will take place online for the second time, this year. We welcome the global community of researchers, practitioners and policymakers to join us for an exciting and interactive programme spread over two weeks. Historically, the ANH Academy Week rotates annually between African and Asian countries to lower barriers to regional participation. This year, we are honoured to be co-hosting ANH2021 in collaboration with partners in Pakistan:

  • Collective for Social Science Research
  • Dow University of Health Sciences
  • Institute for Global Health and Development at Aga Khan University
  • University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF)

Throughout the Research Conference there will be various opportunities to hear the latest evidence, experiences and lessons learnt from the region! Please get involved!
