World Seafood Congress 2019

Join the biannual World Seafood Congress, which this year focusses on seafood supply chains of the future!

Seafood is a key source of livelihoods and food security for many people across the world. By shaping supply chains in a more responsible, innovative and sustainable manner they can not only contribute to livelihoods, but also to marine ecosystem sustainability. The World Seafood Congress 2019 will focus on these points in particular. This biannual conference will for the first time take place in Asia; in Penang, Malaysia from 9 to 11 September 2019.

This year, ‘Seafood supply chains of the future‘ will be the theme that will be addressed by  keynotes speakers and participants oral and poster presentations. Submissions are welcomed int he key themes, which are fish inspection, quality management and technological developments in the seafood sector. It will also address existing and evolving conditions that are critical for the sustainability of fisheries, aquaculture and ocean ecosystems, and demonstrate new innovations and solutions to these challenges. The deadline to submit abstracts and posters to participate in conference is the 15th of May 2019.
